Description
I found this resilient tree on Driftwood Beach on the north end Jekyll Island, Georgia. Driftwood Beach is an amazing and beautiful tree graveyard. But even after years of enduring erosion, wind, waves, and tides, this remarkable tree remained upright and steadfast - while all those around it had fallen.
I used a neutral density filter to achieve a slow shutter speed, which smoothed out the textures in the sea and the sky. I liked how it created a contrast between those softened elements and the rough, dead tree branches.

Oh my....I don't know where to begin....I am always drawn to images of solitary trees but this, this is just outstanding. The colors of the sky, the sun setting just peeking over the horizon and the stunning stark silhouette of that strong tree have combined to create a masterpiece that you have captured through your lens. Congratulations on your features, they are so well deserved and more.
