Description
This image was taken in Arches National Park, Utah. I was very frustrated that evening because we had just gotten to the park less than an hour before sunset and the sky was becoming increasingly vibrant and dramatic. I knew the sunset was going to turn epic. We were desperately trying to find a location where we could incorporate both the western sky and some interesting rock formations in my images. Unfortunately, that's not as easy as it sounds.
Finally I decided to stop stressing and and racing around, and simply enjoy God's gift of an incredible sunset. We pulled over and I got out of the car with my camera and a cold drink. I set up my tripod mostly out of habit, and sat back to watch the show. That's when this very cool and cooperative bird flew into my line of vision and began singing his song of praise.
