I have always been fascinated by hitching posts. Luckily, there are still quite a few examples of them in Savannah, GA. This one was especially interesting because of the many colors and layers of paint now peeling off. As far as I know, it was not common to paint them. I also loved the elegant row houses in the background. This, my friends, is old Savannah.
