Description
This short series of my images from Preservation Hall in New Orleans, of which this is the first, is a bit of a departure from my norm. But each image is a real expression of love. Preservation Hall is a place near and dear to my heart, and I can only hope that when you see the images you feel and see what I felt and saw.
If you are not familiar with Preservation Hall allow me to give you a little background: Preservation Hall was established in 1961 to preserve, perpetuate, and protect traditional New Orleans Jazz. Situated in the heart of the French Quarter, Preservation Hall presents intimate, acoustic New Orleans jazz concerts nightly featuring some of New Orleans' finest performers, showcasing a musical legacy dating back to the origins of jazz itself. Louis Armstrong said it best: "Preservation Hall. Now that's where you'll find all of the greats." What was true during Louis' day is still true today. It is still a place of greatness.
