Description
Capitol Reef National Park was a big surprise for me. I had heard of it, because I had once lived in Utah, but I was not especially excited to visit. In fact, we only took a look because we happened to drive right by the entrance on our way to a different park.
I was blown away! I have never visited a national park where I felt... peace. There are usually swarms of tourists. Not here. And the landscape is fantastic and other-worldly. It was a highlight of our trip, for sure.
I absolutely loved these cliff faces that were so dramatically striped. The US Southwest is a very special place.
