Description
This fabulous ghost town not far from Las Vegas, Nevada seems almost too good to be true. And it some ways, it is. It may not be in the original state in which the town was left to die, but it was (is) a real town and it is jam-packed full of real decaying Americana. I was thrilled beyond description when I arrived at this semi-abandoned mining town. It is a photographer's candy store.
All I know about the sedan, since I am not a car person, is that it is probably 1940s and has suicide doors. I also know in my romantic imagination that it once belonged to a mobster who rolled in on empty to this in-the-middle-of-nowhere desert gas pump, only to discover it was on empty as well. And so they both remain to this day.
